So in the end, Combo decks got partially pushed out and we ended up in this kind of weird meta where doing anything slower might land some wins against the likes of Face Hunter and Handbuff Paladin, but is a nearly sure loss against Questline Warlock or Questline Mage. Compared to my all-time average game length of 9.1 turns, the meta is definitely faster – of course, it’s only my personal sample size, but the difference is quite big.Įarly meta was mostly dominated by Questline-based Combo decks, but then Aggro / faster Midrange builds gained a lot of ground as they work really well against Combo builds. While I don’t mind it and have a lot of fun, my average game’s length is 7.7 turns, even though I played most of the meta decks (both fast & “slow”).
